Do y’all take your Bibles to church?
I’ve been giving this some thought lately. It dawned on me that over the years, I typically mirrored the actions of others in the church I was attending. If most people brought their Bibles, I did too; if not, I didn’t want to stand out.
Of course I’d use my phone and Bible app to reference a verse that the Pastor used or to look up something that popped into my head.
This has been on my mind more and more since I started turning my phone off completely for 24 hours every week, including Sunday mornings.
I’m going to start bringing my Bible to church. (I laugh as I write that - like duh).
What if every Tribesmen did the same?
It will also, like our shirts and hats, spark great conversations. It’s a visible statement to the world that we are Christ followers and to the church that we take our assignment as Ambassadors to Christ seriously.
In an IPhone world, Barbarians carry Bibles!
