The Lord Looks at the Heart

Have you ever told someone about Men’s Alliance only to hear them say, “It looks like a bunch of white guys”? I’ve heard this statement way too many times.

In today’s culture, people are hyper-focused on skin color, and they pursue diversity with great zeal and effort (almost like they worship it). But have you ever stopped to consider that what you pursue reveals what is important to you? And to me, as a military veteran, skin color just ain’t important. Sure, I notice it, I’m not blind, but it’s about as important to me as the color of your car or shirt. I’m neither focused on it, nor do I pursue it.

In Men’s Alliance, we’re pursuing the hearts of men for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. All men.

If you’re not sure if you agree with me, then consider this:
Do you think there’s anything wrong with Washindi Tribe in Kenya being all black?
Should Konnection Tribe in Nigeria pursue more racial diversity?
Of course those are ridiculous questions. We expect Atalaya Tribe in Mexico City to be predominately Mexican, and Braveheart Tribe in Budapest to be mostly European.

Men’s Alliance Tribes come in all colors, but having every color represented in every tribe is a false idol that can take us off the real mission of pursuing Jesus.

We live in a culture that tries to shame, silence, and cancel us if we don’t play its politically correct games. And Men’s Alliance refuses to play.

Alpha Tribe in Midlothian, Virginia has a lot of white men because that’s who God brought to it. And God will always bring the exact right men to each tribe.

So, don’t let culture bully you into pursuing their idol of diversity. Our skin color does not define who we are. We are all sons of the King!

Launch your tribe, build your fire, lead your workout, share your devotion, and if anyone tries to tell you that your tribe is too white (or black, or whatever) just tell them, “People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
