When you see something collapsing do you ask around to find out who’s in charge so you can request permission to help?
If you saw someone drowning would you run get a lifeguard or would you dive in to save them?
Warriors don’t need permission to act.
Many of us have been conditioned by a bureaucratic culture into a pattern of inaction. We ask ourselves, “What will keep me from getting in trouble?” instead of the much better question, “What would a warrior do right now?”
When we see a breach in the wall, we stand in the gap.
Every warrior understands this: If you see a problem - you take action. So, tell me why when we see our nation teetering or our church has a breach in its wall, our first response is to run find a professional and ask for permission to stand in the gap?
It’s time right now for Christian men to stop being bureaucrats and start being warriors. When we see a problem - we take action. We don’t need anyone’s permission to share the gospel or take a stand for what’s right.
We follow in the footsteps of Peter, Paul, Boniface, and Bonhoeffer. We follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Stop looking around for who’s in charge and do what needs to be done. You don’t need anyone’s permission to be a Barbarian Ambassador.
