Breacher shares his intense journey as a law enforcement officer balancing the demands of his job with a deep and evolving faith. Raised in a Christian home, he wrestled with his beliefs as a teenager, a struggle that carried into his time in the Marine Corps and later into the high-stakes world of policing in dangerous areas. The constant exposure to trauma and moral challenges pushed him to question his faith and himself. Through prayer, scripture, and the support of a brotherhood like Men’s Alliance, he found the strength to endure and grow. With his wife’s faith journey eventually aligning with his own, he learned to lead with humility, relying on God and his community to navigate life’s darkest moments, like trauma that comes with being an officer, miscarriage and issues in the home, and much more. This week David Eubank from the Free Burma Rangers (FBR) joins the podcast to talk about his missionary calling. David talks about doing justice, but we need to avoid revenge. While not easy, we need to instead correct the injustice with love. FBR respond by getting the news out in war torn areas (Burma, Sudan, Kurdistan, Iraq, and Ukraine) and supplying first aid treatment, while sharing and showing the love of Jesus. There are three rules in FBR: You have to do if for love, You can't run if others can not run (don't be a coward), and Be able to read and write.
