Peter was brash and bold. Jesus rebuked him several times, yet he was listed first among the disciples in the gospel. Listen to full episodeBreacher shares his intense journey as a law enforcement officer balancing the demands of his job with a deep and evolving faith. Raised in a Christian home, he wrestled with his beliefs as a teenager, a struggle that carried into his time in the Marine Corps and later into the high-stakes world of policing in dangerous areas. The constant exposure to trauma and moral challenges pushed him to question his faith and himself. Through prayer, scripture, and the support of a brotherhood like Men’s Alliance, he found the strength to endure and grow. With his wife’s faith journey eventually aligning with his own, he learned to lead with humility, relying on God and his community to navigate life’s darkest moments, like trauma that comes with being an officer, miscarriage and issues in the home, and much more. His story shows how faith and strong relationships can provide the courage to persevere and thrive in the face of life’s toughest challenges.
