Episode 207: Past Mistakes Do NOT Define Your Future ft. Command Sgt. Major Marc Dibernardo

Marc Dibernardo recounts his transformation from a troubled youth in a dysfunctional family to becoming a Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army and a committed Christian. His journey into the military was spurred by the events of 9/11, seeking purpose and belonging, where he later encountered a spiritual awakening after watching "Fireproof," leading him to embrace Christianity. This faith not only mended his struggling marriage but also guided him to lead by example in the military by integrating his warrior spirit with his newfound faith. Marc emphasizes the importance of Christian fellowship for personal growth and encourages others, through his story, that with divine guidance, one can overcome past struggles and lead a life of redemption and purpose. Mission Briefing 40: Christian Nationalism & Why Morality Should Be (and already is) Legislated

Video
Men’s Alliance

Goose addresses the accusation of Christian nationalism and the notion that morality cannot be legislated. He explains that there is no definitive definition of Christian nationalism and that it is frequently used as a derogatory term against Christians. He urges those labeled as such to request a definition from their accusers and wonders if they have truly experienced a spiritual rebirth if they cannot support laws based on their Christian morals. He asserts that morality should be legislated, as every law distinguishes between right and wrong actions. Goose challenges viewers to clarify the meaning of "you cannot legislate morality" and to reflect on the ethical implications of each law. Furthermore, he clarifies that Christian nationalism does not signify the establishment of a theocracy, but rather strives to make America as Christian as possible through voting, praying, and advocating for Christian values. Church Authority

Video
Men’s Alliance

This mission brief continues the conversation from last week’s episode: No Head Higher. The point is simple: don’t put any human on a pedestal — not your lead pastor, not your counselor, not your tribe leader, not me. Your authority is God, and Scripture is the standard. But what about “church authority”? That’s where the conversation gets deeper. In the New Testament, leadership is consistently described as plural — elders, leaders, overseers — not a single man running everything. We unpack key passages like: • Hebrews 13:17 (leaders — plural) • 1 Timothy 5:17 (elders — plural) • 1 Peter 5:5 (elders — plural) • 1 Timothy 2:5 (one mediator — Jesus Christ)If your church is built on the biblical blueprint, you should see elder leadership, accountability, and authority rooted in Scripture — not personality, celebrity, or “one guy’s voice.”Follow Men's AllianceInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/mensalliancetribe/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/mensalliancetribeTiktok - https://www.tiktok.com/@mensalliancetribeWebsite - https://www.mensalliancetribe.com/Explore Battlefield Coaching today and find yourself a Coach with experience overcoming a battle you are currently facing - https://battlefieldcoaching.comOrder the Book - Answer With Truth: The Ambassador’s Field Manual for Leading Your Family Spiritually - https://amzn.to/3BmnuKV

Ep 175: How Great Men Grieve

Video
Men’s Alliance

Johanna Stamps, a licensed grief counselor, talks about how we have to acknowledge grief and mourn in order to continue to move towards God’s vision for our life.  Many items can be lost such as a job, pets, friendships, and marriages.  As men, we need to take time and space to let our brain catch up to the event that has happened. Johanna shares her 7 steps included below and talks about the power of writing a closure letter on the grief you are going through. How to connect with Johanna:johannastamps.com804 944 [email protected] Men’s Alliance | How Great Men Grieve “If you loved it, and lost it, then grieve it” Grief is like an epic hike through a desolate land. 7 Steps of the Journey: 1. TRAILHEAD: AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY a. Set the intention to heal, to integrate b. Look for a sign you are grieving: Cognitive, Affective, Physical, Spiritual c. You ONLY work where grief is coming up, that’s the beginning d. Feel the pain (No pain, No gain)... It brings healing 2. LOOK AT THE MAP (Pssst... it’s a magical map) a. The magical map only appears as you walk forward in your grief b. It’s completely unique to you (circumstance, personality, etc.) c. Dispel misconceptions (don’t look for stages) 3. BEGIN WALKING a. Small doses as it comes up b. One thing at a time c. We cannot grieve all at one time. We wouldn’t be able to take it! d. Be creative... example: recognizing important dates (or your body will tell you) 4. GATHER WITH OTHERS - DON’T GRIEVE IN ISOLATION a. Grieving is internal - Mourning is your external or public experience of grief b. ESSENTIAL - speak about the experience of the loss, memories, etc. c. Moves from the head to the heart (READ THIS AGAIN!!!) d. Look for the 1⁄3 who are good with grief (most likely someone who has dealt with their own grief) 5. STOP FOR REST a. Sustenance for your epic journey b. Maybe learn to rest for the first time 6. EXERCISE JOY AND PAIN MUSCLE a. Like any normal ruck or hike there is joy with the pain b. Practice this often when you are grieving 7. GET TO THE LOOKOUT a. Reflect on how far you have come (when you look at the loss with less pain) b. See parts of yourself that are becoming whole again - integrating the loss c. This is OFTEN understanding who you are (e.g. identity) Sponsor: Tom 'Doc' Love CFP®, CRPC®, CRPS® [email protected] Craig Heah.
