This week Chris "Knuckles" Luck rejoins the show to discuss confusing bible verses. Listen to Knuckles previous podcast episode War Stories 2: Hells Angels. Greg Koukl says "Never read a bible verse. Instead always read a paragraph at least". The Bible contains many different styles of writing such as: biography, poetry, letters, and history. We have to avoid taking verses out of context from the Bible and applying verses to our life if they were written for others. Always continue to learn more about the context of the verses, we do this by talking with other trusted Christians and reading commentaries such as the ones listed below. Suggested Bible Commentaries: Warren Wiersbe Matthew Henry John MacArthur Wayne Grudem --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mensalliancetribe/support
Ever feel like the Men's Alliance workout is too hard? Like the bar is set too high? In this podcast you'll hear how that is a metaphor for our spiritual lives, too. The standard set for us is Jesus Christ and we all fall short of the mark. At Men's Alliance we give ourselves grace when we fall short of the standard, but we will never lower the bar. Not physically and not spiritually either. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mensalliancetribe/support

Listen to full episodeBreacher shares his intense journey as a law enforcement officer balancing the demands of his job with a deep and evolving faith. Raised in a Christian home, he wrestled with his beliefs as a teenager, a struggle that carried into his time in the Marine Corps and later into the high-stakes world of policing in dangerous areas. The constant exposure to trauma and moral challenges pushed him to question his faith and himself. Through prayer, scripture, and the support of a brotherhood like Men’s Alliance, he found the strength to endure and grow. With his wife’s faith journey eventually aligning with his own, he learned to lead with humility, relying on God and his community to navigate life’s darkest moments, like trauma that comes with being an officer, miscarriage and issues in the home, and much more. His story shows how faith and strong relationships can provide the courage to persevere and thrive in the face of life’s toughest challenges. Listen to full episodeIn a marathon, when you can't run any more, you walk for a while, but you don't throw in the towel and quit. This same lesson can be applied to everything we do in life. There's nothing wrong with taking a rest in order to recharge and then getting back into the game. Don't be a man who gives up entirely when all that was needed was a season of rest. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mensalliancetribe/support
Listen to full episodeToo many pastors are tiptoeing vaguely around the edges of truth. Watch out for what is said and not said by articulate speakers trying not to offend. The gospel is offensive. Be bold and call out sin. This is no time to coward away from biblical truth. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mensalliancetribe/support
