Ep 127: Confusing Bible Verses

This week Chris "Knuckles" Luck rejoins the show to discuss confusing bible verses. Listen to Knuckles previous podcast episode War Stories 2: Hells Angels. Greg Koukl says "Never read a bible verse. Instead always read a paragraph at least". The Bible contains many different styles of writing such as: biography, poetry, letters, and history. We have to avoid taking verses out of context from the Bible and applying verses to our life if they were written for others. Always continue to learn more about the context of the verses, we do this by talking with other trusted Christians and reading commentaries such as the ones listed below. Video
Men’s Alliance

In this thought-provoking episode of the Men’s Alliance podcast, author Martin Johnson (The Atheist Survival Guide: 35 Ways to Combat Religious Intolerance) joins the conversation to tackle big questions about faith, atheism, societal polarization, and masculinity. Martin shares his insights on the politicization of religion, misconceptions about atheists, and how belief systems shape our world. The dialogue gets real as they debate the existence of God, explore who Jesus truly was, and unpack the challenges of breaking stereotypes—especially around men’s groups like Men’s Alliance. With a focus on respectful dialogue and bridging divides, this episode dives deep into finding common ground in a world full of differences. Ep 84: What's in a Name? w/ Jeff VanAtta

Video
Men’s Alliance

Names are important and they have meaning.   Looking at some of the names of God and where they come from, helps us to better understand our relationship with him.   Do you have a favorite name for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? When you pray what name do you pray to? Is it always the same one for every prayer, and in every moment? God's multiple names shows us that he has a name for every season we are in, showing that he is always present, no matter what we are going through.  Challenge What name do you pick for yourself, and what do you want your name to mean? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mensalliancetribe/support
